Merla Moto Launch Event at Bike Shed Moto Co, Los Angeles

It's not everyday you host your launch party at Bike Shed Moto Co in Downtown LA, but in late October we did just that.

Mingling with LA's moto scene with a Spicy Merlarita in hand, we hosted our ultimate launch event for  Merla Moto at Bike Shed Moto Co at their Downtown LA venue in late October this year. Here's a recap on the night's antics and how we celebrated with our incredible motorcycle community at one of our favourite venues.

What is Bike Shed Moto Co? (Surely BSMC needs no introduction)

Ever since we exhibited at the Bike Shed Moto Co Show in London back in 2019, we wanted to be part of this incredible scene. Bike Shed Moto Co is essentially the Mecca of the cafe racer motorcycle community.

 

Nowadays moto enthusiasts come in all shapes and sizes, no longer confined to the stereotypical bearded man kitted out in black leather from head to toe. As a global community united by their love for two wheeled adventures, Bike Shed Moto Co invigorates this enigmatically cool lifestyle throughout their venues. Whether its the Barbershop and their 1920s razor blade techniques, nuances of mahogany, quilted leather upholstery and barrel-aged whiskey lining the bar or just the thrill of being in amongst your local moto scene - the Bike Shed Motor Co incorporates the nostalgia of the classic cafe racer scene with effortless class.

Founders Dutch and Vicki have created a place that essentially pays homage to this dapper lifestyle with a fresh new take on the scene. From hosting events that invite our global community near and far to partake in, serving up delicious cocktails & cuisine to their expansive retail store that encompasses international brands, there's something for everyone, whether you ride or not.

 

Hosting the Merla Moto launch event at Bike Shed Moto Co in Downtown LA was the perfect way to meet, mingle & celebrate with the LA moto crew.

Since first being stocked at Bike Shed LA, we knew we had to kick things off with a good old fashioned party or in corporate language, a launch event. Matilda, our Marketing & Brand Partnerships Director, and Rachel, our US Sales & Operations Manager were there to get the party started, curating a display of our entire range for the Bike Shed Members and customers to check out, browse through and purchase on the night. 

Spicy Merlaritas were flowing (chilli margaritas with a Merla spice) as we hung out with the  Litas Los Angeles & Bike Shed Members, shared the journey of Merla Moto as our guests checked out the range of mens and womens gear, gloves, accessories and our motorcycle coffee table book, The Racer Within. Held in the Speakeasy in the Members lounge, we were able to share our vision for our brand with the local community, educate them about our products and how our Mother-daughter team have built a global brand that intertwines, style, quality and protection.
