Get to know our motorcycle jackets, gloves and jeans with insider knowledge from the real riders who wear them.
When you’re looking for a women’s motorcycle jacket you’ll be asking yourself a lot of questions.
- What motorbike jacket features make for a great fit on – and off – the bike?
- Should I go leather or textile?
- Does armour come included?
- Can you look stylish as well as be safe and comfortable on the bike?
And while we’re proud of the threads we design and make, as riders we know that learning from the insights of experienced riders can’t be beaten. That’s why Thread Share asks real riders who wear our gear to tell it like it is.
In our first ever episode we had the kick-ass babe and accomplished rider, The Ducati Girl Jesse Appleby take us through women’s jackets. Jesse lives in Sydney and is often found (but rarely caught), on the Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek with her Ducati 959.
“I’m a big fan of pushing my limits on the track,” says Jesse, “I expect my gear to keep up and keep me safe. And there’s no reason why I can’t look good at the same time!”
“One of the best things about riding a bike is the people you get to meet. I love seeing more women on bikes and sharing what I’ve learned with riders who are new to bikes.”

With Thanks to the team at Gasoline Motor Co for that drool-worthy backdrop.
